A common plumbing nightmare is a clogged drain. Over time, food particles, grease, and other bits can get stuck and cause a blockage in your drain. You don’t always need to call a plumber to fix this issue. The video outlines solutions you can implement to clear clogged drains.

Do this twice to ensure grease and other bits wash away entirely.

Next, use vinegar and baking soda solution. Tip a cup of baking soda into the drain hole then pour a cup of vinegar into the hole. This combination releases carbon dioxide which lifts dirt and grime. Pour a second cup of vinegar into the hole, and then pour hot water again to clean and unclog the drain.

Insert a drain snake into the hole to dislodge stuck items. Finally, you can unscrew the drain pipe to see what is causing the blockage. Switch off the water supply and put a bucket underneath to catch any water. Then, disconnect the pipes and examine them. Try these DIY methods to clear out clogged drains, but if the problem persists, call a plumber.
